Spontaneous Pneumothorax in Pregnancy

A Case Report and Review of the Literature

From the Obstetric and Gynecologic Service, Department of Surgery, General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

A 19-year-old primigravida at term presented with bilateral, spontaneous pneumothorax. The maternal and infant outcomes were successful. The impact on pregnancy is discussed, and suggestions are made for obstetric management.
