Abstract
Recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of acute neurosurgical conditions have resulted in improved morbidity and mortality when such conditions are associated with pregnancy. The authors' recent experience with 3 cases of acute neurosurgical emergencies during pregnancy is discussed, and a review of the current philosophy concerning diagnostic workup and treatment modalities of cerebrovascular bleeding during pregnancy is presented.
