Primary Ovarian Pregnancy and the Intrauterine Device

From the Service of Pathology and Family Planning. Concepcion Palacios Maternity Hospital, Caracas, Venezuela.

Two new cases of ovarian pregnancy are reported in relation to use of the intrauterine device, bringing the total number of reported cases to 18. Theories concerning the failure of the IUD to reduce the number of ovarian pregnancies are discussed.
