A woman who developed hirsutism and symptoms of acromegaly during her first pregnancy was treated by irradiation. The male infant born from this pregnancy was extremely long, temporarily exhibited advanced bone development, and possessed abnormally large nose, ears, hands, and feet. He had bilateral synostosis between the radius and the ulna. At a later age he was retarded in motor and mental development and developed scoliosis.
