Laminaria Digitata in Saline Abortions

Laminaria tents were used in addition to the technic of saline abortion in an attempt to shorten the injection-abortion interval. A statistically significant decrease in time interval, beyond that observed with the addition of oxytocin alone, could not be demonstrated. The complication rate with laminaria appeared to be significantly increased.
