Two cases of small bowel incarceration following herniation through the fascial site of laparoscopy are reported. One patient required a bowel resection on postoperative Day 14 and the other on Day 21. In contrast to the usual complications of laparoscopy, the symptoms were intermittent and delayed in onset. Some precautions to avoid this complication are presented.
