Abstract

Two young patients who developed clear cell adenocarcinoma arc reported. In both, their mothers received diethylstilbcslrol (DES) during pregnancy. Treatment of the problem is discussed. Only by reporting additional cases seen by physicians can the etiologic association he strengthened. Since the administration of DES during pregnancy was once quite popular, it seems that many more young women with this type of adenocarcinoma should be seen. Future investigations will either strengthen or weaken this possible ctinlogic association.
