Complication of Laparoscopic Tubal Cauterization-Small Bowel Perforation

Abstract

Injury to the small bowel, with perforation, occurred during tubal sterilization by cautery through the laparoscope. Thisreport indicates the clinical course of this unusual and serious complication, emphasizes prophylactic measures to avoid it andrecommends immediate operative intervention with small bowel resection as appropriate therapy.
