Abstract
This study demonstrates that the level of uric acid in amniotic fluid may be used as a criterion in estimating gestational age, and confirms the finding of others that there is a positive relationship between amniotic fluid creatinine levels and fetal development. These observations may be helpful when estimates of fetal maturity are essential and the date of conception is uncertain.
