Abstract

A new latex agglutination-slide test for pregnancy in which the reagents are incorporated onto the surface of the test slide was evaluated. The test accuracy ranged from 94.68% in pregnant patients (31 to 100 days after the last normal menstrual period) to 98.65% in non-pregnant patients. The advantages and limitations of this latex agglutination-inhibition slide test for pregnancy, which is stable at room temperature, are discussed.
