Abstract
The clinicopathologic aspects of 12 cases of stromatosis are discussed. The classic picture of a locally invasive and late metastasizing neoplasm is demonstrated in 7 of the 12 cases. The only fulminating lesion was also the only one in which malignancy was evident histologically. The hormone dependency of the classic endometrial stromal cell of the tumor is suggested by findings in 3 of the 12 cases.
