Vulvovaginal Papillomas and Trichomonas Vaginalis

ELEANOR B. RODGERSON, MD, FACOG

From the Gynecology Service of the Sacramento State College Health Center.

Abstract

Diagnosing and treating Trichomonas vaginalis associated with vulvar and vaginal papillomas in 31 patients, induced changes in the papillomas and often caused them to disappear. It is emphasized that Trichomonas vaginalis is an important factor in vaginal pathology and may pave the way for the action of viruses on these tissues.
