Abstract

Intrauterine contraceptive devices that had perforated the uterus were removed from 5 patients (1 during the postpartum period) by laparoscopy. Inserting these devices by the proper technic will effectively reduce the incidence of perforation, in the presence of which laparoscopy is safer and easier than laparotomy for removing the device.
