Abstract

Mycotic endometritis occurred in a 38-year-old white woman, after prolonged progesterone administration. No sign of systemic mycosis was present. Morphologically the organism was consistent with Candida, although the pathogen was not isolated in culture. Possible predisposing causes of this unusual mycotic endometritis are discussed.
