Syringoma Three Cases With Vulvar Involvement

Abstract

Syringoma is a benign tumor of the eccrine sweat gland duct. Lesions are small flesh-colored to yellowish papules. They are usually asymptomatic and permanent and affect mainly females. Eyelids, neck and chest are the sites of predilection. Disseminate lesions can occur. External genitalia rarely may be involved. Three patients with vulvar involvement are described. They all presented with mutliple bilateral skin-colored papules over the labia majora. One patient also had similar lesions on the neck and chest. It is felt that syringoma of the vulva might be more common than is generally recognized.
