Inferior Vena Caval Obstruction Syndrome with Electrocardiographically Documented Fetal Bradycardia

From the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

A case of inferior vena caval syndrome with associated fetal bradycardia is presented. The fetal bradycardia occurred after maternal hypotension and was documented electrocardiographically. Both the implications of the brudycardia and the etiology of this form of maternal hypotension arc briefly discussed.
