Abstract
An unusual variant of acute renal failure is presented and its diagnosis and management discussed. The importance of recognizing this entity is obvious. When it is identified and properly managed, recovery rates approaching 100% can be expected. Failure to diagnose this insiduous nephropathy can result in cardiac death from hyperkalemia and acidosis.
