Comparison of Vaginal Epithelium Maturation with Progestin-Withdrawal Bleeding as an Indication of Circulating Estrogen

Abstract

Good correlation is shown between cytologic maturation of vagina and progestin-induced endometrial bleeding. The response is linked to the number of superficial cells observed in the vaginal smear.
