ALVIN F. GOLDFARB, MD, FACOG and RALPH CRAWFORD, MD

From the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jefferson Medical College, and Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia

Abstract

Clomiphene treatment of 160 women infertile because of anovulation enabled the determination of comparative multiple-pregnancy rates. The group included 29 women with polycystic ovaries. There was a significantly greater number of multiple gestations among those with polycystic disease. This association was significant at the 0.05 confidence level.
