Effect of Diazepam on Meperidine Requirements of Patients During Labor

Abstract

Intravenously administered diazepam was tolerated well by 94 parturients and their fetuses. Compared to a similar placebo-treated group, the diazepam recipients required significantly less meperidine during labor.
